HAPPY GRAMS PROGRAM
Physical distance is important for public health right now but PHYSICAL DISTANCE does not have to equal SOCIAL ISOLATION.
Together we can support our seniors during this critical time and work together to fight loneliness... thus the creation of the HAPPY GRAM Program.
We are asking you to write a letter, draw a picture, send a joke, or make a card!
Please keep the font clear and large enough for older eyes to read
Please steer away from political or religious messages
Tell them about yourself, share a joke or riddle and let them know they are loved
Embrace creativity! Recipients love it when the letters are personal. We encourage you to make your letters colorful and fun - photos, crosswords, and drawings are great!
Be kind and thoughtful. This is a one-way letter exchange, you will not receive a letter back. This is a true act of kindness.
Drop your finished HAPPY GRAMS off at the Wetaskiwin Public Library (5005 - 51 Avenue) in the book return slot. The HAPPY GRAMS will then be shared with our local seniors, bringing them a smile and the warmth of connection.
Small act - BIG Impact
