The overall goal of FCSS is to enhance social well being - and what better way to do so than through Random Acts of Kindness. Wellbeing, in the simplest terms, is “the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy." In an incredibly broad sense, we want to help make the world a happier place, and that starts right here in Wetaskiwin.
THE EFFECTS OF KINDNESS:
Increases the love hormone, energy, happiness, lifespan, pleasure, and serotonin
Decreases pain, stress, anxiety, depression and blood pressure
Effects of kindness are felt in the brain - improving our moods, and encouraging us to pay it forward!

So, what is The CAKE Project?
Each month, a team of kind and dedicated volunteers assemble a small encouraging gift and distribute these randomly throughout Wetaskiwin. The goal of this initiative is to create a domino effect of kindness - equipping community members to participate in helping create a culture of kindness right here in Wetaskiwin.
