Event Team
There's a lot of moving pieces when it comes to events - and to ensure the event runs smoothly, all these pieces have to fit! Help us with set up, clean up, running events, and everything in between.
The CAKE Project
Help spread a little bit of joy through Consistent Acts of Kindness and Empathy (CAKE). Volunteer to help assemble monthly gift items, help distribute these throughout Wetaskiwin, or assist another group that's already in the process of doing so!
Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)
As a volunteer, you'll help complete tax returns for adults, newcomers, students, and others. We'll provide you with all the training and necessary software. If you have a couple of hours in the next few months, we'd appreciate your help, as volunteers are vital to this program.
Period Pop Up
Period poverty isn't just happening in developing countries - it's happening in our own community. Women and girls of all ages are struggling to afford period products every month. So - Period Pop Ups will provide FREE products to anyone and everyone who needs it. These work on a "take what you need, donate what you can" basis. Until they are self-sufficient and being successfully re-stocked from community members, we'll need to keep an eye on them to ensure they are 1) fully stocked; 2) safe; 3) in good shape.
Volunteer Role:
Weekly check-ins and restocks of community pantries
Help plan, organize and facilitate product drives
Promote menstrual equality in the community
