children & youth programs

Programs and services that promote the social development of children and their families

Grow the f!@# up

Individuals are starting to move on later in life, and moving out of their parents home at a later age. Unfortunately, and through no fault of their own, some of these individuals have never been taught the personal and/or professional skills needed to function and thrive as an adult.

Weekly sessions will focus on different topics necessary to be a fully functioning adult in the real world: budgeting, paying off debt, car care, meal prep, home hacks, etc.

Thursdays, from February 2 to March 9

7:00 PM at the Wetaskiwin Public Library

lego club

Lego Club is not just a space for kids to come play with Lego - it’s bigger than that. We’re trying to be a building block of healthy development, and create a space to help young people grow up healthy, caring, and responsible.

LEGO®-Based Therapy was developed in the mid-1990s by US pediatric neuropsychologist Daniel LeGoff and has since been found to benefit children with a variety of communication and social developmental difficulties. Participants were more engaged, enthusiastic, and responded more positively to this type of familiar play than traditional forms of intervention.

youth volunteer

of the month

Do you know a teenager (ages 12-21) who puts others before themselves; who is constantly striving to make the world a better place; who is always looking for ways to help others? We'd love to hear all about them!
